Our Craft
The Royal Lounge began as a simple conviction: the best bread doesn't need to announce itself. It needs time, good flour, and a baker who watches the dough the way a potter watches clay.
We bake in small batches throughout the day so every loaf leaves the oven at its peak. Sourdough that takes two days. Croissants laminated by hand each morning. Cakes that taste like the ones your grandmother kept on the windowsill.
Beyond the bakery case, our grocery shelves carry the ingredients we actually use ourselves — olive oil from a single estate, spices bought whole and ground in-house, pasta from a producer we visit every season.
What We Offer
Sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, and seasonal loaves — all leavened naturally, baked daily, and sold fresh from the oven.
Hand-laminated croissants, danish, tartes, and whole cakes made from scratch each morning. Nothing from a box, ever.
Olive oils, vinegars, pastas, canned goods, and specialty ingredients — each one selected for quality and value, not markup.
About Us
The Royal Lounge sits on E Harry St in Wichita — a corner we've called home for years. We started as a small bakery counter with a single oven and a stubborn commitment to doing things the slow way.
Over time, the grocery side grew organically. Customers would ask where we got our olive oil, our flour, our spices — and we'd share. Soon those questions had shelves, labels, and prices that made sense.
We're not a chain. We're not expanding. We're the shop where you can ask the person behind the counter a question and get an honest answer.
